I have a chance to get one of these scotty Arms designed for pulling crab pots but my main use for it would be a light weight anchor, 1.5 LBS specifically. My Kayak is a Old town 106 weighing about 70Ish pounds. Is this sufficient or would an actual Anchor system for a Kayak be the best way to go? Pics of both products for reference.

I’d go with something else.
Get a mushroom anchor and an anchor trolley.
This isn’t designed to be used for anchoring and will be a hassle to deal with, anchor trolleys are not as in-the-way and it’s rare to be anchoring in deep enough water to warrant something with this.
