Another thing found while digging through my dad’s old stuff. Obviously a bit lighter setup and the old school pistol grip. What weight lures would be best?
eBay has some but no info for weight is on there… thinking no more than 1/4 ounce and 8-10lb test.

It should not take more than an hour to test and figure it out by yourself.
Start from light ones and add weight until it feels good.
The rod says “medium”, so 1/4 oz. is going to be about the minimum it will cast, not the max. It will probably work best with lures around 1/2 oz. to 3/4 oz. or so. And lines under about 12 lb. mono won’t work well on that reel because of digging in on the spool. Most casting rods in those days had pistol grips, regardless of weight, and most were 5 1/2 feet or less, too.
