Is this reel worth getting repaired? I know this is over 30 years old if I had to guess, it’s my grandpas. It reels in but not much else, I know these reels are really nice and last a long time if properly maintained, this one wasn’t. What’s my best move?

They last a long time even if they aren’t maintained. I’ve restored plenty that spent their lives fishing saltwater and were nearly completely bound up, and worked like new when finished. As to the value, they don’t go for much unless they’re mint. These are very common so a good service would be more for the sentimental value than anything. They’re still excellent reels just to use, and a polish job and carbon drag would wake it right up.
