Fished for years with spinning setups and fly rod, sales and rewards too good to pass up getting into pond fishing. 7’3” Diawa Arid-X MHF and Shimano 150 MGL in 7.4 ratio. 5 min of setup, and 30 casts last night in the back yard, only 2 very minor backlashes and was not doing myself any favors after the sun already went down. Already casting 25-30 yards minimal effort, killer reel, rod feels of much higher quality than the $40 on sale. Tight lines
