Price change in lews reels???

I liked the last generation lews lfs, and I was excited to try the new one when it came out for $99 about 6 months ago. Went to bass pro a couple weeks ago they had it for 120. Now lews and tackle warehouse are listing it for $140? That seems like an extreme mark up for such a short amour of time and makes me not want to buy their products. When I felt the reels in store they didn’t feel very smooth and felt sloppy especially next to an slx xt or a Daiwa which are now around the same price. What are your thoughts? I guess now the regular slx is no question the $100 king.
