My father in law gave me his old rod and reel – both of which haven’t been touched in the past decade or so.
It’s a Daiwa Kastor 3500 (made in Thailand) and a Penn Pursuit 9 foot MH rod.
I’m having a hard time finding information on the Daiwa Kastor. Does anyone have any history on this reel and some of the features? I see ABS, and infinite anti reverse on it.
I think he had intentions to use it to fish for carp like he did back at England. I’d like to give it a try. Do yall think I could rig this combo for that type of fishing and how would yall suggest I do that? Thanks in advance!
