Brand new PDL 120 Pro came with a couple deep grooves in the hull
Should I be concerned? Haven’t even took her out yet… Paid a lot of $ for it. Not sure if it’s just my OCD lol.

You would expect a $3000 kayak to be flawless, unfortunately to get that, you’ve gotta go get it off the line yourself.
If it’s really bothersome or seems like a defect you can try to warranty it.

Just wait till he launches and loads the first time. Look at them scratches my man.

Wait until you take that bad boy out on the water! It’ll get scuffed up for sure!
They’re made to take a beating and that’s nothing to concerned about imo.

It’s fine.

My 120 came with a couple similar scuffs. Like the others said…the best way to address it is to launch and recover it a few times and add a bunch of scratches of your own.

I would message whoever you bought it from and try to get a percentage off. Worth a shot.

Completely unusable. This is why I only use my kayak indoors

Nothing to worry about. You will put some real scratches on it soon. The fortunate thing is you have a great colour which may minimise the scratches. My yellow yak show lots of battle scars, but I still love it. Cheers.

Are you hanging it on the wall as art? If not, it’s gonna look way worse that after a few trips.
You will do much worse in short order if you use it properly lol.

I purchased a PDL 106 from Dick’s earlier this year. Same condition. Even was missing one of the grey handle covers. But at least it included the parts kit. — no problems on the water so far!
Congrats and best of luck out there!

You should go work for Hertz and replace their new AI camera thing that is charging people $500 for bird poop.

It’ll have 10 times that many the first year. Enjoy!

I put a heat gun on mine to help fill in the scratches. But those look so very minor. As others have said, you will have plenty of your own that look just like that after using it a few times.
