I don’t have any experience with Abu Garcia’s but see their stuff all over the place. I saw this deal over 50% off in their website and I want to know if it’s a steal or too good to be true. I’ve only fishied with Lews Shimano and Penns. All i’ve seen about Abus is that they’re always the underdogs and not as good as the rest. Would you take this over a Shimano Sienna for a light freshwater combo ?

I would take Shimano, Lew’s, or Penn over an Abu any day.

I have a abu pro max and its been treating me well. Shimano and daiwa are also good ones.

I’d take a punt at that price.
I like how Abu has slow oscillation down to their cheapest reel. And my last Abu max pro I got for half price at Canadian tire, lasted me like 200 fish before I gave it away.
that’s really not a bad price to throw a spare rod. good looking reel for a light setup
Id take Shimano or dawia over abu any day of the week
