Hit the surf in Tamarindo today, caught a few jacks, and 2 other species I am not familiar with.
First one is extremely thin, was told flat fish by my newly made amigos. The second reminded me of a speckled sea trout I’m used to catching in SE USA… obviously not that though. Weakfish maybe – I do know the locals were excited to get these the most. They said sea bass, but I’m not sold… more like a trout.
