My 5 year old son reeled in that whiting on the 10’ Okuma longitude.
Had a lot of success catching bait making my own homemade combination bottom rigs: #4 circle hooks were key there.
Had to freaking swim out to neck deep water and cast to get the sharks and ray.
Tested out an FG knot to connect my braid to my leader. Made the leaders 6’ long, and crimped a little sleeve about 18” above the hook to stop the sinker-slider.
