Any tips are helpful. Getting a lot of problems with back lash even when using my thumb and adjusting the tension. Not sure how hard these are supposed to be to use.

You’re way low on line I’m not sure about that model but some of these are designed more for trolling instead of casting as well. A full spool will definitely help you either way. Fill it up to just a hair below where the gold lip is on the spool
