I've taken my kayak out dozens of times… every time some water comes up through the scupper holes, as expected. I took it out to a lake Sunday, and the normal amount that usually comes in did again. I took it out to a pond today that had a lot of sludge-y kind of water and every time I'd stop paddling the kayak, a good bit more water than normal would come up through the right main scupper hole. It got bad enough that it came up into the back of the seat by some point and despite the main part draining when I paddles, the back of the seat had 2-4 inches of water in it. Is this normal? If not, what do I do?

I think i had a similar issue with my catch 100. Its sorta tough, im a bigger guy around 240 lbs. the max weight is 350, so even though im big, im not close to the max. I would get maybe an inch of water by the scupper holes and scupper plugs solved the issue. Id recommend the same to you, however 2-3 inches is a little worrisome
Do u have a hole in your kayak? I had one in mine and one of the ways I figured it out was there was way more water than usual in the wells.
