Connecting to the loop on the end of the rod seems like it would ruin the presentation, but not sure where else to connect to. Do you add a soft plastic or worm to the hook as well?

I’ve honestly never seen that before. Can’t wait to hear the answer.

Tie on or snap on. Don’t use a swivel, it won’t always spin right if you do.

Late spring into mid summer, hook a nightcrawler on it. You can use minnows, but really anything as a trailer works once you hit mid summer and the worm bite is over.

Toss out, let it sink to the bottom then reel back slow enough to keep it along the bottom, but fast enough to engage the spinner.

If you want to troll with it, just play out enough line that it stays where you want it in the water column.

I like to put a barrel swivel on my main line and then tie a 16″/18″ leader onto the barrel swivel. Now tie the Earie Dearie on by the eye that’s at the end of the long silver shank. I have used minnows/nightcrawlers and even soft plastic grubs/worms/minnows with great success. I’ve trolled/casted hell even jigged with them!! Good luck and tight lines 👍!!
