I intend on fishing in a freshwater lake. I am not looking for 5kg monsters at least not yet. A 200-300g fish already make me the happiest man alive.
I’ll probably use something like ~10-17g lures, 20g max, so I don’t think a 4000 reel is something I need. My concerns are the main and leader lines because I’m not educated about those, so are they compatible with this setup and each other? Or is something else in the setup an issue?
I do have experience in spinning from when I went with my dad, but it’s time I buy myself a setup
Thanks!!

Leader on a spinning rod? Hmmmm.
Good setup for the beginner, good luck catching fish
seems like a solid setup, its good to add like a few grams (5-10) more than your intended use, you never know what you all of a sudden want to use but cant because it exceeds your rods maximum. and its also not the best idea to throw stuff right on the edge of the max of the rod, not terrible but i wouldnt prefer it.
i honestly have no experience with the reel, however id recommend something like a shimano sahara or nasci, solid choices and you can use them if you ever want to use saltwater, again i dont have experience with the katana. from daiwa pov id say a fuego is a solid choice, all of the reels i said are good options and it never hurts to do more research about them to find what suits you best, you can get them from aliexpress for cheaper than retail and they are in fact original.
a 3000 size is good especially for that rod, but make sure your line fully spools your reel otherwise youll lose casting distance, ygk is really good line so youre good from the perspectivie, i dont know about the leader tho, another good options are seaguar and linesystem, line system is the best but can run you a decent amount.
if your reel doesnt fill up from the braid you can put backing on or get longer braid, id suggest getting longer braid, when it gets worn out you can flip it and get almost unused line.
sorry if i yapped a lot and good luck
