What can the pliers on the right do that the left ones can’t?

  1. Burn a hole 15x larger in your pocket. But you should get split ring pliers instead of either of these

  2. I’d grab the cheapos. The notches in them are for crimping things like leader bands together.

The right ones are made of titanium so they’re corrosion proof and saltwater safe. They also won’t flex under load. Jaws springs and cutters all replaceable. They’ll easily last a lifetime and not need replaced a dozen times like the left ones if you use them a lot.

Start with the left one and if you need to replace it more than once get the right

  4. The van staals r titanium in pretty sure they r so surf fishing …. So they r able to be dunked in saltwater and not rust or get corroded over time

Some people wear gucci, some people buy 250 dollar pliers. Gotta look rich somehow I guess.

  6. The ones on the right are going to be much more durable. You can lose it in the surf, find it a few days later under saltwater, and still use it. You can probably run them over with a car and they’ll still work.

Do you need that? No. But it is nice if you got that kinda money laying around.

If anybody has some suggestions for some proper pliers that won’t get bend under load, that are not van staal prices. i am all ears.
I hate the cheapo’s but don’t have a good alternative for the either🤷🏾‍♂️

The ones on the right probably won’t rust. Not sure if the ones on the left will. I have a pair of the BPS pliers. Only knock on them is they have to be in a sheath to stay closed.
