Daiwa Crossfire LT vs Abu Garcia Max X
Doing general freshwater fishing in southern Ontario (Bass/pike/walleye/trout). I'll use a braid main line with a mono leader.
Anything else better in this price range? I've seen the Ugly Stik recommended here, but I think the lack of sensitivity is not worth the increased durability for me.

Go to the store, and look at the rod. Specifically, the rod guides.
If you want to use braid, make sure there are ceramic inserts in the rod guides. Neither website description mentions the guides, because with cheap combos, most people won’t care.
But braid will cut into untreated stainless steel guides. Look at the guide, what you want to see is a ceramic ring inside it.
