Just picked up this feelfree lure 10 and looking for suggestions on loading assists. Getting it up and over the rear upside down (preferred orientation) was not easy. Most of the roller systems are for the bottom of the kayak, so they are too narrow and won't work to load upside down.

I've seen where people load right side up and flip when on the roof, but not sure how easy that will be. Any suggestions?

  1. I have this one from [Wiltec.de](http://Wiltec.de) , this kind should work fine for your car. Theres a 3 leg version that should be even more sturdy.

I just load the kayak in sailing position and only flip it once on the roof bars if going for a longer trip. For the typical 5-20min drive its not worth flipping.

The roof bars should have some kind of padding (cant see in the pic if they do), one of the best and cheapest is to buy a couple pool noodles, cut them to match the bars and secure with some large zip ties. They allow the kayak to move a bit which is perfect to not over tighening it.

Now to fix to the bars, 2 straps, one that goes from the front bar to the handles, comes back over the kayak, another that goes from the rear bar to the handle, comes back over the kayak. Thats it, you have 2 straps pulling front and rear and 2 holding the kayak to the bars. Once you get the hang its just a couple of minutes to secure.

I would load my coosa x on my cherokee and then stand on a small step stool to flip it. It wasn’t too difficult once you got some leverage.
