I just picked up some of these v-curve hooks out of pure intrigue. However, I’ve caught myself overthinking things and am now wondering what CarpFishing has to say about it. (first pic is the new hooks)

I normally fish with hair rigs that use a little piece of material that can slide up and down the hook to control where the hair exists from, and also some tubing that goes over the eye of the hook creating an additional curve / extension (hopefully you understand what im saying) im not familiar with rig specific names etc, so thats why im explaining it. its what ive landed on for now as what I like best. (second photo provided to help understand)

Can you tie this exact same type of rig with the v-curve hooks? or should I only stick with simple basic hairs that have no additional tech? just a simple long hair exiting from below the knotless knot and just dangling freely?

I should also mention that I typically fish with bottom baits, not much success with floating baits, but also not much trial with them either. catch myself using tigernuts, corn, and boilies (in that order of importance/usage) more than anything else. I do have popups though.

if you think i should ditch these hooks and tie something else up then im all ears also!
