Peeling off the old foam on the handles was the worst part. Much better feel with the 550 paracord. Bought some shrink tube for the ends but it was too big so I'm going tovget smaller diameter and shrink tube the top and bottom.

What’s the point of this? Genuinely curious.
I did this on an old rod. It’s awesome. Be cautioned though. When that gets wet, it gets HEAVY
