Broke the tip + about 4 inches off of this 7 ft rod. have a rod tip replacement and was wondering if I should just break off this last eyelet and put the tip on how it is or maybe cut it down to this last eyelet and put the tip in making it a ~6ft6in rod? Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks

If Walmart has the same rod on the shelf just go tell them you bought it there and not broke and you need another one… If that isn’t possible. Use a lighter to heat the resin slowly around that last eye and then scrape it off with a knife. Then get some tip glue and glue on a new tip…. Wala…. Careful with the lighter. Don’t burn the rod. Just heat the resin from an inch away or so
Heat gun, take that off and then put a tip top on it
