Good morning!
I have recently gotten back into fishing and to say im addicted is an understatement. With that being said I’m a custodian and live pay check to pay check so I’m going a pretty cheap route. This is what I’m looking at. Is it worth it or should I save and go for a better one?

That’s a decent yak that will get you out on the water. However, I would recommend a kayak with a nice folding seat. That upgrade alone will keep you out on the water for longer. If you can stand to wait, end of season deals are coming up and you can likely find a lifetime or pelican with a good seat for that same price. Also, consider the wight capacity as you dont want be over 80%, and if you are a bigger dude, than that one will not have the capacity you need.

  2. I got the same yak this year around memorial day and it has served me well this summer. I ended replacing the seat with a $20 folding stadium seat, and there are plenty of diy ideas on YouTube for this exact model for other ideas

The price is OK, I got the exact same one last year from Sam’s club like $180. It works well. But if you spend quite some time on the water, I would recommend to get a better one which has a frame seat. I feel pains on my back when I use it. I am looking for a Tamarack pro deal to upgrade my kayak
