I’m new to fishing and fishing gear in general but I was wondering if this is a sign of a bad reel or something. It’s not the worse issue but the reel only locks when reversing when the reel is at a certain position. It’s an old quantum SX3 that came with a rod my dad given me but I find it weird compared to other reels I tried at certain angles it requires nearly 170ish degrees to lock (as demonstrated in the video).
If it is recommended to get a new reel then I’d be open to any suggestions that isn’t too crazy in price.
