After a lot of reading on past posts on here I sold my old kayak and went with the Tamarack pro. This past weekend I took it out for a test run..before I grabbed my rod and put more gear on it. Yall were not joking this thing is super sweet. It tracks really well and has a sturdy feel on the water.
My only question is with the way I have it tied down to the roof rack. Would this be safe to take on the highway? Did watch a few videos on how to strap it down. I was very nervous driving with this thing on the roof as i only had foldable kayaks in the past. Only took the back roads to get to my destination. Let me know if I need to do something different to make this more secure for the highway. Got a few cool lakes that I wanna try fishing off this kayak.

  1. Pull on it hard from the front and back points: up, down, sides, push it, pull it.

If it doesn’t budge from you, then the wind won’t push it around either.
