I know I know, it’s been said a million times probably and I can find it on YouTube, which I have, it’s just still confusing to me. My question is, this braid that I bought, is it the right line/braid to use for my spinning set up?

Bud, I’m gonna be one of many to say it. But Spider Wire sucks.
Also, what’re you looking to catch?
Way to heavy for a medium power rod honestly. Your rod says 8-17 lb test. I’d really recommend sticking to mono for a while until you can answer these sort of questions yourself. Not trying to sound condescending, you are paying more for a product and you don’t even know if it is what you need.
Braid is just a hassle, I use it for my one bait casting setup, I put it two different spinning reels before myself and just saw no benefit when mono does the same exact thing for far cheaper, no leaders, less hassle etc
So, 30lb braid is as heavy as you’d ever want to go, and heavier than you need to go but it’ll be ok if that’s what you got. If you wanted to fish mono, 10lb would be fine on that reel, and is about the same diameter as 30lb braid anyway. If you can return it, you should. 15-20lb would make more sense depending on what kind of fishing you’re doing, even as ligh tas 8 or 10. You’ll need mono backing, 125 yards of line won’t come close to filling that spool.
And spiderwire sucks but stealth isnt as bad as ez braid.
30lb line is pretty heavy. It will probably work because the line is braid instead on mono but it might not cast as far as lighter line.
The real question is, what are you fishing for? Personally, I’m finding that lighter is better. But I do have a rig with heavier line to target larger species.
I’m just looking to catch bass, not too big, and other small fishes. It didn’t feel right to me so I came to Reddit. I want something that will just cast nicely and a decent range
You should be choosing line first for the fish and location you fish, then a reel suited for that line.
