I took my daughter Sunday evening to Matagorda Island TX as an end of the summer fishing trip. She was so excited to get her first speckled trout limit (and almost redfish limit but the tax man 🦈 got his share). My heart melted when she asked if we could make it a tradition to go fishing together right before school starts.
We fished very clean, current moving water with live primo sized mullet (I like to cut a little of the tail of).
Fished the the first gut from beach. With the bright moons, evening bite has been great for the past week.
