Redundancy abounds here. Why would you need such a light test in spider wire. Wasn’t it originally designed to be able to spool 20# test on a reel without the spool space to accommodate it? A 8# mono line’s diameter is small enough that spiderwire wouldn’t be a huge advantage. Please explain the benefits to me.

That shit is close to 20 years old or more. Doesn’t matter what the rating was, since it isn’t really viable line to use today.
