Hi all, I am going on vacation and I thought it would be a great idea to pick up fishing as a hobby!
I did some research and I found out that I need to buy a traveling rod with these specific criteria:
- The rod must be around 2.7-3 meters as I will be (trying) surf fishing
- The rod must have a traveling length of less than 54 cm -> Carry on bag limits đ
- To me, the price must not exceed 100 EUR. For a new hobby, I think it is reasonable
The only rods I was able to find are telescopic or 6/7-pieces rods:
From my research, telescopic rods seem to be unfavored by most anglers. At the same time, 6-pieces rods seem to be very rare (a bad thing?)
I am not sure what to choose, your professional opinion will be very helpful!
P.S: These searches were based on the country I reside in.

Its fairly easy for me to cut my lure off, tie the line on the reel then put the reel in a box, pull pole in half (not sure those do that). Pole in the tube it came from (or any mailer tube) and travel with. Only a few mins to get back together.
Check Okuma Voyager Signature series. Using freshwater one, outstanding quality.
For surf you might want to check Surf models.
