I’m going somewhere with carp- what should I use for this?
I have a little Amazon kit because I'm only just getting into fishing

This is not for carp.
Look into “hair rigs” and something called a method feeder.
Easy bait you can make: In a freezer bag, one pack of strawberry jello, one pack of panko bread crumbs, half can of seeet corn including all the water in can. Save the other half of corn for chumming water around where you are fishing (make sure it is legal in your area)
Good luck 👍

The kit is aimed at targeting predatory fish using lures and won’t work for carp. Research basic carp setups with a feeder or lead. You’ll need to use bait (corn, boilies, etc).

Second what everyone else says – if you plot one of these in the water the carp will probably run away

I use bread and corn with honey all mixed together with help of the blender also some granola

Carp will occasionally hit a lure but it’s rare. They’re omnivores but mostly eat small things like worms, insects, and small crawfish. Jigs simulate baitfish which isn’t something that carp routinely eat.

This won’t work for carp, try a trebble hook with a pice of bread or sweetcorn

These are not made for carp, but two of my last three carp I caught using a trout magnet and crappie jig lol
