I found this lure the other day while fishing. It looks to me like a mix between a fly and a hula popper and its tiny (Guinness for scale lol) I also tried to weigh it but it was too lite for my digital scale. I’m thinking I’ll tie it directly on my spinning rod with 6lb line and use it during trout season. Does this seem like a good idea or am I dead wrong?

It’s a cork popper fly, if you don’t have a fly rod you can use the ‘float and fly’ rig that uses a bobber (casting bubble even better) about 18″ above the fly and gently jerk it to pop, good for bass and perfect for bluegill
