The founder of Vibe Kayaks – Josh Thomas – just launched a new kayak company called CAJO.

Their mission statement talks about building pro-level fishing kayaks and they have several designs on the site with launch date next spring. The flagship Outpost 128 PDL Pro takes a lot of cues from the Vibe Shearwater 128 but with some nice upgrades.

  1. The yak looks sweet but im not a fan of the color options since id like to hunt out of mine. Id go black but that sucker would get hot as hell I imagine.

  2. Their inflatables are interesting.

Hope the quality of their kayaks are good. Having more players in the industry is a good thing. Keeps things competitive.

  3. Looks similar to another major brands kayak but a better layout and the pedal drive looks fantastic.

  4. The kayak is over $2k and the pedals are an additional $1200!!!!

It better catch and clean its own fish.

  5. Wow the designs look really cool. The pedal drive with rod rest made me go “Whoa”. The fact that the 10′ kayak is only 55lb unrigged is a big deal for this market imo.

  6. I’m excited to see what these kayaks are. I have a SG130 from pre-buyout and it has held up. I will upgrade for next season and currently thinking Old Town 106 but might hold out and see what these guys have to offer.
