Why does my “braided” hairline look like this?

I bought some "braided" spiderwire line, but it doesn't look like other lines I've bought. It looks more like nylon or plastic, but not like braid. Or was that my fault? I don't know. Also when I turn I hear a super bad noise in the reel, it only happens to me with this line.
