*update* is this a good combo for trout and bass?

I’d go with the 7’2 ml or 7’0 light. I have both in the expride line up new model and old model for the light and I’ve caught stocked rainbows on the 7’0 light and it handled them well, the 7’2 ml is a little more versatile on the bass side but the 7’0 light can handle heavy weights and big fish no problem

  2. I wouldn’t try to have the same setup for both species.

Get a light or UL trout setup and a medium for bass

  3. The vanford matches the color scheme better if you care.

That being said, I use the zodias pack rod and never did have any issues with it. It feels a little faster than it claims but I’m not sure if that’s just the pack rod or if the regular zodias is like it too.

Bass and trout would probably make me lean ML more than M. 2500 is fine, it honestly doesn’t matter much. If I’m targeting panfish or trout specifically I use a 1000. If I don’t know or I’m going for bass specifically, I’ll lean C3000. In creeks I always use 1000 just because you don’t need more reel than that in small bodies of water.

Unless you’re a pro angler, you’re spending way tf to much on a rod and reel.

Fuck, I spend like 120-150 on an entire setup.
