As the title suggests I am needing some opinions on my tackle setup. Don't need multiples of everything but want to make sure I'm not missing the obvious. Or something just being plain rigged wrong. Got the boxes separated by weights/rods I use. Light (1/16-1/4oz), Med (3/8oz-3/4oz) Heavy (5/8-1.5+oz) and a Top water (1/2oz+). Midwest/Bass/New2fishing
- Local ponds
- The Meramec river (pretty dirty water, low visibility, some current)
- Smaller local rivers and creeks

The white crank bait on picture 2 was doing well yesterday.
Be sure to read the packages on some of those soft plastics. Many say to keep in its original packaging bc they can have a melty reaction with other plastics. Z-man in particular
I’d add to your soft plastics. Moving baits play a big role in bass fishing especially with fall coming up. Where jerk baits might not work a paddle tail on a swimjig head will pull fish after fish in.
You’ll learn over time what lures work better over the other. I’ve got totes full of lures from my beginner days that I just don’t use anymore.
Also, stay away from mega bass for a while. For a beginner there’s no need to be spending $20 on a lure you are almost guaranteed to lose. Rapala makes great affordable jerk baits that won’t haunt your dreams when you lose it.
