I have tried so long now to catch anything but no luck so far. I fish at St marys river, this dock to be specific. I have these things I was hoping to try today. I will appreciate any pointers or basic knowledge. * I also have worms (nightcrawlers I believe, they are long but I cut them in half when using), which hook should I use with the worms ?

  1. At the river I would use either a 1/16 or 1/8 ball head jig with a nightcrawler on it. Cast it out and work it in slow enough to not get snagged, which you will. It’s about $3 for a 10 pack.

River fishing is tougher than lake fishing imo.

  2. Size 8 or 6. Small chunks for small fish. Also you can use the little fish as bait for the big ones too

Also use the lures as well by the dock any of those should work as well

Bring bread or something to feed the ducks fish will come for this too and create a feeding frenzy. Chum the waters
