Personally I would use a standard EWG size 3 hook with no weight, if you wanted to get a little deeper or cast a little further go with a belly weighted swim jig hook like hoss helix or Berkeley fusion, jig head would work but from my experience you will loose some of the natural action of the bait

I got size 1 and 2 ewg and then 1/0 ewg to 3/0
I’m team jig head all day!
