Does anyone know my line isn't pulling drag?
When I tighten or loosen my drag it just pulls line without any drag sound. Reel is a lews speed spin
2nd time ive had this happen

Does the force required to pull line change when tightening the drag? Maybe the drag clicker is broken.

Pop the spool cap off & take a look; the clicker is usually located on top or below the spool and looks like a spring loaded finger that contacts a toothed wheel. Your drag clicker is likely out of place, missing or broken. Usually does not affect performance. Some people purposefully remove these so as to not alert other anglers that they have a fish on.

Does it work though when you turn the dial? I have a light Pflueger that doesnât do the drag clicking but it functions properly. It wasnât that way new though so I donât know what happened..

Your entire spool of line is spinning around the bail. You’ll have to pull the line back off unfortunately.

Your line is slipping on the spool. Respool after adding a bit of electrical tape to get some “bite”.

Make sure the key that locks the spool to the oscillation drive (or the rod that you screw the drang onto) Not sure what it’s called. But your spool slides over it so it does not free spin. On shimanos, it’s almost impossible to mess it up because the rod is shaped in a way that if your spool is on its keyed to the spool . But my kastking had a small square that seats into the drag washer in the spool, its a thin piece of metal that if you don’t pay attention you can get the drag on and tighten but not seat the square key into the spool and it just free spins. I’d take the spool off and take a good look at what should lock the spool to the drive.
