I’m in the market for a new light spinning reel and I have heard only good things about the Fuego.

When researching I found out that there is a different version available only in China that came out this year. The 25 Daiwa Fuego CS https://www.daiwachina.com/ProductList/info.aspx?itemid=64420&parent

From what I can tell it’s the exact same spec as the current 23 Daiwa Fuego LT available in the west. The only difference being the aesthetics, which is okay because I think the Chinese version looks better.

The Chinese version is also about £20 cheaper (I live in the UK) than the one for the western market.

I’ve never bought a Chinese market product before so if anyone has any experience or advice it would be appreciated.

  1. Sure, if you’re cool with ripping off the company that designed the reel and having no warranty.

  2. There are some aliexpress sellers that sell genuine reels and can be cheaper, look for the reel from a reputable seller on ali

I have the last Generation CS Fuego and it’s great, solid reel, can’t complain. Bought it from an AliExpress seller called “ABCSPIDER”, I also bought the new generation Exceler from there and again all good. Packaged very well too.
