I pull so many lures from trees every time I go out in the boat. I really appreciate the free lures and I’m sure the kids I donate the doubles triples and stuff I don’t need or want to appreciate it as well. Is it really that hard to hit water though? I’ve probably got 40 lures today alone.

I caught a bird once. Wasn’t in a tree though. Tried to snatch my live bait as soon as it hit the water and somehow hooked its foot. Reeling it in was like flying a kite.

  2. I caught a beehive yesterday. I was casting along the bank and the wind grabbed my lure. I stopped it short, but it still flew into some bramble. I tugged on the line and it wouldn’t come out. I put down my rod and got a bt closer and could see it. So I got up on a rock and gave the branch a little push.

Next thing I knew there were a couple of bees on the ground. A moment later I swear there were 100 swarming all over me. It was cool in the morning, so I had some heavier pants and a sweatshirt on. If not I would probably be absolutely covered by bee stings right now. One went into my ankle through my sock. 3 got under my sweatshirt band and stabbed me through my boxers. I was swatting them with my hat and backing up, but they followed me. I cut my line and ran for it.

100 feet away I stopped and there were still a few coming at me. I swear that over a dozen had tried to sting me through my hoodie and were curled up dead on it. I called it a day and left. 1 of them came out of nowhere 5 minutes later and got into my hood.

Absolute nightmare. Next time I’ll just let the tree have it.
