The inside ring of my top guide came out this morning. I cut my line, removed the ring, and kept fishing. I caught a small fish, it seemed fine. Can I fix this? Do I need to? Pic 1 is broken, pic 2 is what it looked like before. Is this the perfect excuse to run out to get a new rod pretty much immediately?

I have a few rods like that and it’s never caused an issue for me.
This happens when the eyelets are 2 pieces (insert comes loose and falls out). If the edges have been left sharp I would get an aftermarket insert for like .10¢ but usually it doesn’t affect anything. One time I had a saltwater rod that left broke and left the eyelets razor sharp.
