Got this rod for sending lures into orbit fishing the surf in SoCaland Oahu. 15lb braid seems pretty light for saltwater fishing or throwing 4oz lures. I have a Penn 4500 spinfisher and a Penn 6500 long cast spinfisher that seems like it would be a bit too big/heavy for this rod.
If anyone has any experience on what line and reel size to use with this rod it would be appreciated. Thank you.

I use 10 lb suffix braid to catch fish smaller than a bull red, like mackarel or bluefish.
I have a hard time believing a rod that will cast 1/16 oz would be anything but a pool noodle with 2 oz on it let alone 4 oz.
