Hey all, was given this lure and I want to learn how to set it up for catching trout. I've looked online, but haven't really got a clear answer. Can any of you guys help? Thanks in advance!

It isn’t really all that complex. You could just tie your line directly to the lure. You can also use that snap swivel.
I’d suggest using an open loop knot or rapala knot for this type of lure.

snap swivel or barrel swivel to get the correct action of it spinning or else itll twist your line up & cause memory issues within the line

If you tie a knot on it directly, there is a high chance you’ll lose the lure. Add that snap or split ring to secure that lure to your knot as the edges won’t cut your line.

Put a split ring on and tie to that. If you tie straight onto the spoon it might cut your line.
