I want either a small boat like this or a kayak, preferably pedal drive and I do want to add a motor too it, stability is my biggest want, I’m not big at all just not the most agile, I’m just 5’8 175. If not this what kayak would you suggest? My budget is preferably under 1500 after trolling motor and stuff, but can stretch a little more to 2k max. I’m in Florida by the way if that makes a difference, I’d be fishing mostly solo and want something I can stand on easily. Thank you in advance 🙂

I love these things. And they are extremely buoyant. I (180 lbs) stands next to my buddy (200lbs) while fishing all the time without any problems. I also have a cheap (Ascend H12) solo sit in kayak that I take when it is just me. So it may come down to your means of transportation because the Prowlers are over 110 lbs and aren’t easily transported without a truck or trailer. And you would have the same problem with a pedal drive kayak. I am about to buy a Bass Pro plastic Jon boat. They are only like $550 and have a weight capacity of 535 lbs. and you get the CE Smith trailer from there for half price if buying a boat.
These boats are regularly on sale for less than $600 brand new, so if you get one, don’t buy this one
Small ponds and such – boat. Almost anything else – Yak.
