It’s been fun building my tackle and learning to fish for specific species. Though, finding the right location has been tough. I’m looking forward to the coming weeks in hopes of higher catch rates.

  1. Should add some marabou jigs to the crappie box. They’re pretty cheap and are pretty effective under a bobber when it gets colder and the bite slows down

If all else fails put a watermelon senko on a ewg hook w a 1/8 oz bullet weight. Works like a charm.

Where are you located and what do you have access to?

Up here in Iowa I’m big on bass and, if you can afford it, get some Senkos, Ned rigs, and chatterbaits with a trailer (I like a fluke or a paddle tail)

Senkos/ned rigs take some practice but chatterbaits are pretty easy. Toss and retrieve or tick tick up and down
