Hi everyone. I ordered a 2023 Vanquish from Digitaka a month ago. When it arrived, it had more handle wiggle/play when compared to the 2024 Twinpower and the 2025 Exsence. I could also feel a slight rattle inside while turning the reel.
They sent another one, which was noticeably dry and noisy, could also feel the dryness/raspiness as the handle was coming to a stop. Def not as smooth as first one.
They sent another replacement. Again, it has more handle play and you can feel a slight rattle or clicking as you crank the handle. More noticeable while turning the handle slowly or when the handle is coming to a stop. Also feels a bit dry, not as bad as the second one.
I’m thinking about returning it and forgetting about the Vanquish. I have a 2024 TP FE and the new 2025 Exsence B, both have noticeably less handle play and no rattle/clicking/looseness feeling while turning the handle. I know handle play is normal, along with some winding noise especially for XG models.
For those have have the 2023 Vanquish: is this normal? Will it get better over time with use?
Maybe a service and greasing later on will fix it?
