Nothing crazy, but snagged this brand new 5ft Berkley Lightning Rod for $2 at our local thrift store.
I had an extra reel at home so it seemed like a good find. Never owned one of these but thought it would be fun for a little pond fishing.
Has anyone used this rod before and enjoyed it?

I have a vintage lightning rod too.
Other than checking fitment between the rod and reel I have laying around I haven’t used it it seems a bit too nice and I have retired it to the retirement rack.
