This is my first reel for my first fishing ventures. It's a KastKing Valiant Eagle 3000 for saltwater, inexpensive on Amazon.
It was grinding, salty-like, with a sticky bail, and I knew it had to be maintenanced. I watched some videos, disassembled (most) of it, removed the sand, oiled the slide-y parts and only removed grimy grease (didn't have any – would vaseline do?)
Anyway, after I put it back together it reels in and out like this. It reels in either direction for a little while before coming to a firm halt. (Very sorry for the video quality). Do you know what is happening mechanically, and what I did wrong in reassembly?
