Spent a good 9 hours one the river today testing out the new combos. 6'10 fast medium heavy zodias paired with a 7.1 HL tatula 100 and a 6'9 fast medium heavy zodias paired with a 3000xl vanford. Honestly I only did about 10 cast with the vanford because I loved the tatula 100 so much I couldn't put it down. I caught about a dozen smallmouth with it one being 18". I was trying to fight being a baitcaster guy because I grew up with spinning reels and felt so comfortable with them but after two years of using baitcaster I prefer over spinning with how I fish.

I have the same rod, but I paired it with a Scorpion DC XG. It’s a great rod.
