Fishing Big Bear Lake this morning. I'm still learning how to use my drag setting and welp apparently I had it WAY to open. Went to cast, something felt off, then I heard a loud plop. My dumb ass launched my reel in the water. Had to wade out like 6 feet to retrieve it. Eventually found all the pieces (I hope) and got it put together again but I'm cranky. Is there any maintenance I should do when I get home? It was only submerged in the lake for a couple minutes.

Clean with fresh water and relube everything.
