Thinking about getting something like this to pair with a surf rod and wondering if it'll give me significantly longer casts compared to a regular reel of the same size. Thanks

The rod and the tecnique its what helps the most . Getting a good rod , correct weights and improved way of throwing. Material wise the guides is what creates the most friction.
