Motor advice

Hello, guys and gals. Was looking to get some advice and feedback on my Newport NK motor.

1. Is this aftermarket rudder correctly oriented?

2. Do you think the motor is in a good position relative to the bottom of the kayak? I know this is probably dependent on the conditions and might not be answerable.
